(This post was last updated on: 2/2/2024.) As the beginning of summer is kicking off, I have been making a mental list of things I want to accomplish this summer. It seems like we had been so busy this spring that we didn’t complete many projects around the house or schedule out our summer plans. I have jumped on the band wagon of making a summer bucket list to keep myself in check. I broke down my list into certain categories: Travel, Home and Local Fun. I would love to hear what is on your bucket list for this summer!
Summer Travel Bucket List:
- Road trip part of The Blue Ridge Parkway
- Watch 4th of July fireworks somewhere cool this year
- Spend a long weekend with my toes in the sand at one of our fave beaches
- Enjoy a weekend camping somewhere we haven’t been to before
- Plan a trip for our anniversary
Summer Plans for the Home:
- Konmari the shit out of my closet and dining room
- Fill my planters with pretty flowers, install a window box under the kitchen window and add to my herb garden
- Set up the coffee bar that I have been wanting to for the longest time
- Try some new recipes including 2 new cocktails, one with grape fruit and one with watermelon
- Schedule our annual end of summer luau and make it the best one yet
Local & Fun Bucket List Items:
- Go to the drive-in at least once
- Visit the UNCC gardens that I have heard so much about
- Get a pass to the local dog park so we don’t have to go to the one that’s further away
- Spend an evening at a local vineyard
- Get the girls together for GNO
- Have a picnic on a nice sunny day
- Shop at The Charlotte Farmers Market
