Can you smell the pumpkin spice wafting in the air this time of year? I have been craving a good pumpkin flavored dessert and came across this simple 2 ingredient pumpkin bread recipe on Pinterest. It seemed simple enough, so I said let’s give it a try.
I included the two ingredients, spice cake mix and a can of pumpkin puree in my Walmart delivery order. If I haven’t said lately how much I love Walmart grocery delivery, I LOVE IT! Makes life so much easier.
2 Ingredient Pumpkin Bread:
This recipe is quite simple, just mix the spice cake mix with the can of pumpkin puree. I mixed it by hand. The batter is thick and heavy.
I then poured the batter into a greased loaf pan, and placed the pan into the oven which was preheated to 350 degrees.
I baked the bread for approximately 35 minutes, testing the center with a toothpick to ensure it was cooked all the way through. It looked so delicious when it can out of the oven. You can barely see her, but my foster dog, Greta was hanging out in the kitchen with me.
Once cooled, I sliced the pumpkin bread and had to try out a taste. Oh my gosh, yes, it is as good as everyone on Pinterest claims.

There are several ways to jazz up this recipe, if you want, but it is definitely not needed. You could add mini chocolate chips, or sliced banana or apple to the batter before baking. You could also sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts to the top and even a dusting of sugar or a sugar/cinnamon mixture would be a good addition to this recipe.
